Hiking trails span the entire park system. An 11 mile driving route passes through the parks north of Old Hickory Blvd and is accessible from Old Hickory Blvd, Chickering Rd, among other locations. Open grassy fields, picnic areas, a golf course, and a steeplechase are present. Small streams and drainages occur throughout the parks.
